I used brothers Grimm and their story as an inspiration for a great lesson idea that worked well for my students (both for my teens aged 13+ as well as adults), so naturally I want to share it with you - so whenever you feel slightly mischievous and have no lesson plan ready, you may go with a tale and a twist.

7 Free Online Courses in November
I love November - it's my favourite month of the year! Whenever I can, I take a week off just to chill a bit and enjoy the bliss of a minibreak. I have grand plans to complete one of those promising online courses I found. As usual, I share them with you - maybe you'll find the course I should take this month?

Have a Purrrfect Lesson! (7 Lesson Ideas)
If you're not really into dark and grim Halloween but still want to enjoy some cheer, you will find my ideas quite inspiring. Here's what I thought - if I were to prepare a lesson that may be perfect for Halloween... but not too halloweenish, I'd go for something that may symbolise Samhain, but not overly extravagant.

More stories: StoryBits
It looks like November is more of a storytelling month than I thought - last week I shared the storytelling coursebook (remember about the contest, you can win a copy of the book!), and today I'll show you the magic of pictures: Storybits.

This year's IATEFL Poland conference was just awesome - I had so much fun and I can't wait for the next event which is, as you know, eduOctoberfest, a month full of webinars (2 sessions per day!). Alas, you need to pay for this event and it is in Polish, yet fear not for here I come with a bunch of free online courses you may enjoy in October!

Back to Basics: ClassroomScreen for IWB
I believe there is an application that may be a great beginning of the adventure with technology in the classroom - it's a simple page with many widgets easy to use for most non-technological activities in the classroom. Meet ClassroomScreen!

7 Free Online Courses in September
I've always liked September (in a childlike way as I have my birthday then), getting new school stuff, the smell of new books - and, of course, new things to learn! Today I have some brilliant courses that I hope you'll find useful in some kind of Back to School style.

Get Ready For School: Teacher's Pack
I've read through my blog (almost 200 posts!) and found all the notes that may be an inspiration before you embark on yet another year-long school adventure. All of the ideas were tested on human beings and all of us not only survived, but had quite a lot of fun.

5 Instant Fillers for Awkward Silence in the Classroom
We all experience classes that suddenly go awkward - a topic we hate and really can't elaborate on, students that only want to fall asleep or a memory of a cup of coffee when another's been due for a while. Sometimes it calls for a game or a nice role-play, but sometimes, to put it bluntly, I can't even, so I use my last resort: fillers that are always there, ready to use.

7 Free Online Classes in August
Apart from the upcoming school year, I think August is a perfect month to work on self development - one has more time off and it's easier to feel motivated when it comes to actual finishing the course. The courses I found for you are really interesting and I hope you'll find something suitable.
