Imagine a set of cards that can make your class use English, think, collaborate, discuss, argue while solving crimes and having fun! It’s pretty much like Cluedo but requires no preparation, no extra explanation… just a set of cards!
Long, hopefully rainy evenings are just made to stay in and enjoy the coziness of warm blanket, cup of one’s favourite beverage… and a nice online course. Seriously, now’s the great time to think about professional development – you’re quite familiar with your students and the most problematic issues have already emerged.
I know some of you speak full storylingo, but there are still those who haven’t started storytelling yet and are quite anxious to try. Allow me then to show you the ropes and guide you through one of the easiest and most intuitive activities introducing storytelling in the classroom.
There are so many wrong things about the mistakes, like: judging others, feeling ashamed, stressed or frustrated – but we can change this!

We can believe our students are digital natives and know everything about the internet, but it isn’t so – studies show young people are basically pushed into the ocean of the internet without learning the basic swimming moves.

Let’s make this school year a Year of Resilience! But while we try to support and encourage resilience in our students, we should also remember about ourselves – you know the plane procedure with oxygen masks, right?
I’ve got three tips for achieving resilience that work pretty well for me, that’s why I thought I could share them.
Classrooms can be pretty chaotic – after all there are heated discussions, engaging projects, glitter, teaching tools, posters, copies, long-lost books…
But why not make your students come up with some useful ideas? It’s a simple lesson plan, but it makes your students not only work on their language, but also practise their creativity, teamwork and out-of-the-box thinking.
