Let’s Learn This Summer
As summer approaches and our classes slow down, it may be the ideal time to take a look at the professional development. With so many online resources available, let’s make the most of our break by broadening our knowledge and sharpening our skills… and I don’t mean only teaching skills!
Throughout the year I shared with you some useful courses, that’s why I would like you to look at them once again: maybe there was a course that you were interested in but decided you wouldn’t have time to complete it?
If so, you won’t find a better time than the summer break!
These engaging courses will add some revival to your teaching approach and promote active learning strategies. From introducing movement into lessons to investigating movement-based approaches to language instruction, these courses help you build dynamic and engaging learning environments that meet the requirements of various student groups.
If I were to recommend one thing this summer, it would be to unwind and refresh. Use these free resources to achieve balance and calm despite the pressures of teaching. That would be not only beneficial for your well-being, but also a good investment for the upcoming school year! Practise prioritising self-care and well-being by taking classes on relaxation techniques and stress-management measures.
Summer break could be a great time to begin your journey to self-discovery and professional development. From self-assessment to pedagogical innovation, these courses will help you establish a growth mindset and continually improve as an EFL educator. Growth mentality will help you identify areas for improvement and implement various strategies to enhance your practice.
It may be only the beginning of June, and the idea of the new school year seems pretty weird, but sometime during the break you might think about your teaching approach. Whether you feel like exploring innovative teaching approaches or digging into subject-specific knowledge, these courses will help you stay informed, inspired, and adaptive. After all, we work in an ever-changing educational landscape.
June make us reflect on the previous school year with appreciation, but also make goals for the next months. These online courses promote introspection and thankfulness, providing you with the tools you need to advance your personal and professional development. Reflective techniques will help you recognise the impact you have on the lives of your students.
Enjoy learning and sharing optimism this summer! Whether you’re looking for ways to stay positive in the classroom or ways to increase student engagement, these courses will provide essential insights and practical recommendations to help you apply mood-boosting tactics and creating a supportive learning environment.
Something you will find really useful in September…
Finally, explore educational platforms to find something you want to learn. From interactive tools to collaborative communities, these platforms provide a multitude of materials to help you grow and develop, not only as an educator, but also as a person.
With so many online courses and educational platforms, there’s never been a better time to broaden our knowledge, hone our skills, and rekindle our passion for teaching. So, here’s to a summer of development, learning, and inspiration!
